Once a wave from the mighty ocean
Rose beyond and splashed into a pond
The pond that knew not a ripple until then
Enjoyed the salt and storm of that wave.
The wave that knew not serene calm relished the peace of it all.
Together they rollicked, they played and they bantered
The pond to teach the wave to be still
The wave to teach the pond to swell.
And now the pond, she rises and falls
Against her lot, to play with her wave
But the wave now rests complacent in her bosom
Against his lot, to lay placid and unshaken.
