Her innocent baby eyes looked up at me
And I strove to give her the world.
Today with unblinking vigilance
They watched over me as I lay ill.
Her tiny fingers - oh! so small!
She wrapped around my finger
And I just taught her how to walk.
Today with strength they gently massaged
My ever so tired & aching feet.
Her curious mind asked questions galore
And I gave her answers from every tale & lore
Today to calm my worry & anxiety,
From her mind flowed wisdom grounded & serene.
As my baby girl she flew kites
And stared in awe at every rainbow in the sky
As a young woman, this divine daughter of mine
Shall soar the skies
And become the rainbow of the world.
