My dear God of Death...
With serene anticipation I look forward
To the end of my journey on blessed Mother Earth
She has nourished me and taught me lessons aplenty
Through pain and laughter, bankruptcy and bounty.
Each day I have cherished and lived to the brim
Through every twist of her mystical maze.
But now from the shore I watch the setting sun
And beyond I see your handsome face
Riding your chariot over ocean waves
Luring me into your embrace.
Just as in Life I found Earth, my Mother,
In Death shall I find my ultimate Lover.
Like a bride I shall walk away from Her
Looking back for just one final glance
And then with each sweet fatal kiss
Eternally shall I melt into your fiery arms...
